About The Speaker

Ralph Merkle is the Nanotechnology co-chair at Singularity University. For several years, he served as an executive editor of the journal Nanotechnology. In addition, he chaired both the Fourth and Fifth Foresight Conferences on Molecular Nanotechnology, and won the 1998 Feynman Prize in Nanotechnology for theory. Together with Robert Freitas, he has formed the Nanofactory Collaboration. His other interests include Quantum computers and public-key cryptosystems and Cryonics.
